A Standing Ovation is a special reward program at benefitexpress that honors two employees who have gone above and beyond in fulfilling our Community Pillars.
Each quarter, nominations are tallied, read, and carefully considered before being awarded at our company “Town Hall” all-staff meetings where the final nominations are read aloud to highlight just how much the winners have done to deserve the award. Aside from the recognition, each winner also receives a check for $2,500.
Shelby Horton, Client Relationship Manager at benefitexpress, earns the first quarter Standing Ovation award which has been voted upon by her peers. Shelby has been with benefitexpress for two years this July, and holds high standards for herself which is ultimately what led her to earn this award.
“As a consumer myself, I like to treat our clients with the same quality of service that I would want,” Shelby said. “Working at benefitexpress allows me that opportunity.” Shelby contributes her commitment to delivering high-quality service to a “supportive, loving and honest work environment.”
Shelby values the company’s openness to implement change and listen to new ideas from the benefitexpress community. “Our community is more than work, it’s a lifestyle, we’re a family,” Shelby said. “I love being able to learn and make a difference in the lives of our clients by bridging the gap between technology and employee benefits.”
“One team, one goal, one mission.” This quote serves as a constant reminder for Shelby as she keeps this sticky note posted strategically on her desktop screen. “No matter how many moving pieces there are, we are all a part of the same moving train,” Shelby explained. “I try to convey my smile and my willingness to help through my communication whether it is over the phone or through email.” Shelby stays true to the belief that if you have a positive attitude and approach to things, you will get positive results.
