Standing Ovation: Recognizing Exceptional Employees | Renee Dietz

A Standing Ovation is a special reward program at benefitexpress that honors two employees who have gone above and beyond in fulfilling our Community Pillars.

Each quarter, nominations are tallied, read, and carefully considered before being awarded at our company “Town Hall” all-staff meetings where the final nominations are read aloud to highlight just how much the winners have done to deserve the award. Aside from the recognition, each winner also receives a check for $2,500.

Renee Dietz, Retiree Associate Project Manager, wins the second Standing Ovation award for the first quarter at benefitexpress. The award is gathered from the positive feedback given directly from company employees through the “Cheers for Peers” program. Renee prides herself on answering client emails and escalations from the call center quickly and efficiently, which was one of many reasons why she earned this special award.

Initially launching her career as a COBRA processor, Renee has now been working for benefitexpress for two and half years. “Immediately, the people in COBRA made me feel welcome and a part of the team,” Renee said. “I took on a new role about a year ago, and joined the retiree team shortly after the implementation of a new, large client.”

Renee speaks about the best part of her role with a highlight on when she joined the retiree department. “My favorite part of joining the retiree team has been helping to implement new processes to improve efficiency and quality of service for our clients,” Renee said. “The APM position on the retiree team was created to help accommodate the growth of this department. No precedent meant there was not a roadmap of what the position would encompass. My supervisor and teammates are amazing; their support and assistance have made all the difference as my role and responsibilities have evolved.”

Renee values the company’s teamwork skills and the willingness to come together to complete projects and meet expected deadlines. She explained, “When we have a large project, people from many departments come together to make sure deadlines are met.”
