Employers are still working to rebuild in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Smart organizations are helping hard-hit employees with flexible policies and benefits communications that highlight the resources already available to participants. 

Also in benefits communication news, this open enrollment is all about millennial employees. While competitive compensation helps with this group, it's all about the benefits. Voluntary benefits and perks that show employers are aligned with their millennial employees' values boost engagement and drive recruitment efforts. The EEOC has been instructed to start over on their incentive limits for wellness programs. A lawsuit brought by AARP alleged there was no basis to the agency's 30% of premium limit on incentives, and a court agreed. The EEOC needs to show reasoning behind the limit they set, rather than selecting an arbitrary percentage.
