IRS Letter 226J

The IRS has begun sending Letter 226J, seeking to collect Employer Shared Responsibility Payments and other ACA noncompliance penalties from employers. Our Chief Counsel, Kelly McMillen covered what the notice means, how to assess your liability, and what to include in your response in a recent blog post.

The IRS announced a 30 day extension of the deadline to furnish certain ACA forms to employees. However, the deadline to file with the IRS has not changed.
