Retiree Administration

Benefit Express provides health and welfare administration services to your organization's retirees who participate in benefit plans. We can manage the retiree eligibility, election, and billing data. The services we provide include:

• Conversion management
• Retiree benefit enrollments
• Election processing
• Carrier notifications of elections and terminations
• Premium collection and billing reconciliation

We will notify the retiree of premiums and premium due dates, monitor all payments received, follow up on late payment submissions and notify retirees of any rate changes. Following your guidelines, we will cancel coverage when payments are not received as required from the retiree. Retirees can also make their elections through our Customer Service Care Center Representatives, who can assist them with enrollment.

Our Customer Service Care Center can provide support for all retiree medical insurance inquiries and resolve billing and crediting issues that may arise. Our administration system allows the Customer Service Care Center Representatives to manage and access retiree information for quick responses to calls from your retirees.

We provide retiree administration for many of our clients. Our system provides almost unlimited flexibility for determination of eligibility and premiums.

We can also accommodate multiple payment options. In our experience, some of our clients require premiums to be withheld from pension payments when the participant has a sufficient pension amount to cover the premium. However, if you allow participants to elect their method of payment, we would solicit this information from new retirees in close coordination with your pension administrator.

Once we are made aware of the method of payment, we would set the participant up for direct bill, direct debit, or for pension deduction.
